Sad but really glad.

I have a wide screen monitor that I’m using with my iMac as a secondary display. Unfortunately the Display settings seem to have gotten a whole lot less useful in OS X and there wasn’t any way to fix the stretched perportions (even after holding down ALT when I click on “Scaled” in the Resolution section).
It is really sad that I had to turn to an app to get the functionality that should already be incorporated in the OS. That said, this app is very useful and simple. I was able to fix the issure in seconds and move on with my projects.
